Helix Park and Kelpies

The Kelpies are the largest equine sculptures in the world. The heads are called Duke and Baron, Duke on the left is 26.3m and Baron on the right is 30m. The Kelpies are a marker where the Forth and Clyde Canal joins the River Forth which completes the canal system from West to East a trip that many people now make. The Kelpies are mythological transforming water demons possessing the strength and endurance of 10 horses, the Kelpie would lure their victims to ride on their backs and then drag their victims under the water and eat them.
