Castle Street Edinburgh
Castle Street is named as for the view of Edinburgh Castle. Castle Street runs from Princes Street north to George Street. This is where the first mortgage company opened in Edinburgh. A famous writer was born here and at the junction with George Street stands a statue of Thomas Chalmers. There are restaurants, pubs, hotels, coffee shops, retail stores and residence.
